The official vehicle of an IDF attaché in an unnamed European country was stolen last week while he attended a meeting, the Yedioth Ahronoth daily reported Monday. His driver and bodyguard were standing near the car at the time of the theft.
According to the report, the attaché had arrived at a hotel for a work meeting with an IDF general who was visiting the city. He left the luxury Audi jeep with the local driver and an Israeli bodyguard and with the engine running.
A thief quickly entered the vehicle and drove away.

The stolen vehicle was neutralized by remote control with the car’s security system, and the thief was forced to abandon it. The vehicle was later recovered in a neighborhood mostly inhabited by Muslim immigrants.
A wallet and two uniforms had been stolen.
According to the report, the incident was reported to the relevant officials, who launched an investigation.
