IDF eliminates Palestinian hurling firebombs at Israeli vehicles

Israeli security forces shot a Palestinian near Hebron who was throwing incendiary materials at passing vehicles.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Israeli troops shot a Palestinian man named Badawi Masalmeh near Hebron on Saturday evening.

The Israeli military stated that IDF forces spotted three people hurling firebombs at Israeli vehicles on a nearby route and fired at them. Badawi Masalmeh was killed and the two others were arrested.

Tension has simmered in Judea and Samaria in recent years, where hundreds of thousands of Israelis live, enduring frequent terror attacks from Palestinians in neighboring villages. Terrorists who kill or maim Israelis receive monthly salaries, with the families of those who are killed while committing terroristic crimes collecting stipends.

Earlier this month, the Trump administration announced that Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria don’t violate international law, a move that angered Arabs in those areas and resulted in the Palestinian Authority declaring Tuesday as an official “day of rage.”

On P.A.-designated “days of rage,” Palestinians are incited to commit acts of “popular resistance,” which is code for terror-related crimes targeting Israeli civilians.
