Alert IDF troops, operating to secure Israel’s citizens, thwarted yet another Palestinian attack.
Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian terrorist on Thursday in the Palestinian town of Hawara in Samaria after he attempted to stab them.
IDF soldiers were stationed in the town to prevent attacks against Israel motorists driving on its main route when the terrorist ran towards the unit with a drawn knife and tried to stab one of them. The soldiers responded rapidly and shot him dead.
No Israelis were injured in the incident.
Hawara is a regular flashpoint which has seen multiple and almost daily Palestinian attacks on Israeli vehicles.
This incident was the latest in a long series of almost daily Palestinian terror attacks that have plagued Israelis over the course of the past three months, claiming the lives of 21 victims and wounding some 250.
