IDF: Home of Ari Fuld’s killer to be destroyed

The home of the terrorist who killed Ari Fuld will be demolished, the IDF said Tuesday.

The home of the terrorist who stabbed to death Ari Fuld in Gush Etzion on September 16 will be destroyed, the Israel Defense Forces said Tuesday.

“The IDF will continue to act with determination to prevent terror attacks and to deter terrorists,” the Army said in a statement. The IDF informed the terrorist’s family of its decision.

Khalil Yusef Ali Jabarin stabbed Fuld in the back near a supermarket at the Gush Etzion junction. Though mortally wounded, Fuld drew his pistol and shot the terrorist, wounding him and preventing a larger attack. The terrorist was then shot and killed by Israel forces.

Fuld was taken to Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem where he was pronounced dead.

Fuld, who was an activist on behalf of Israel, was mourned by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said, “He was an advocate for Israel who fought to spread the truth about Israel. May his memory be a blessing.”

In October, Fuld’s widow, Miriam, sent a letter to the head of the IDF Central Command calling on him to demolish the home of the terrorist.

“I have a simple question,” she wrote in a letter addressed to Maj. Gen. Nadav Padan. “Why is the decision to demolish the home of the depraved terrorist being delayed?”

The failure of the Israeli government to carry out its own policy of destroying terrorist homes has been a source of ongoing friction between the government and families of terror victims.
