A would-be Palestinian terrorist threw grenades at Israel Defense Forces on the Gaza border. The grenades failed to explode and the IDF soldiers shot and arrested the man.
The man was found to be in possession of a knife and bolt-cutters.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition was not released. He will then be handed over for questioning by Israel’s Security Service, (or “Shin Bet”).
The foiled terror attack comes only a day after Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire following a dramatic escalation in violence emanating from the Gaza Strip.
Hamas launched 500 rockets and mortars at Israel civilian areas on Monday night, following an initial Hamas anti-tank missile attack on an Israeli bus that had just dropped off a group of soldiers. One IDF soldier was badly injured.
Nearly 100 were wounded in the overnight rocket attacks and one man killed, a Palestinian Arab living in Ashkelon.
