An IDF soldier was killed Tuesday night when hit by an errant bullet.
IDF Staff Sergeant Schahar Strug, 20, a member of the Elite Duvedevan undercover unit, was shot and gravely wounded. He died hours later.
The military police launched an investigation into the incident. The head of the IDF’s Central Command, Maj. Gen. Nadav Padan, appointed a committee to investigate and draw operational conclusions from the tragic incident.
