IDF soldier killed in car accident

An IDF soldier was killed and three others were wounded in a car accident.

An IDF soldier was killed and three others were wounded on Saturday near the border with the Gaza Strip when the hammer in which they were riding overturned.

The deceased was identified as Yuval Menah, 20, of the 101st Paratroop Brigade. Two soldiers were seriously wounded; a third sustained light injuries.

Menah is survived by his parents and two sisters.

The soldiers were on an operational patrol near the southern Gaza Strip border.

An initial inquiry into the accident indicates that the driver’s steering of the vehicle caused it to overturn.

Eyal Zamir, head of the IDF’s Southern Command, and the IDF’s Military Police ordered an investigation.
