For the second time on Monday, IDF forces prevented a stabbing attack in Hebron.
A Palestinian terrorist who tried attacking an IDF unit with a knife Monday evening was caught in the act, arrested and taken in for questioning. The incident occurred during routine checks.
Earlier, in the afternoon, security forces shot and killed two Palestinian terrorists who attempted to stab them at the Cave of the Patriarchs.
This was the ninth attack since Friday, marking an upsurge in Palestinian terror ahead of the Jewish New Year. Security officials estimate that the new outbreak of violence is the result of incitement and hate propagated by the Palestinian leadership during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha last week.
