Iran cluster missile scatters dozens of bomblets across central Israel

Magen David Adom cautioned that following safety instructions helps prevent casualties, noting that those inside protected spaces were not harmed.

Iran sent cluster bombs into Israel on Monday, triggering repeated sirens across central Israel, injuring at least one person and causing widespread damage.

Magen David Adom said a 44-year-old man was moderately wounded in Ramat Gan after being struck by a blast from one of the bomblets.

He was evacuated to Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv, where his condition later improved.

The submunition hit a residential building, causing heavy damage.

Authorities reported approximately 30 bomblet impact sites across central Israel following the earlier Iranian ballistic missile attack.

Emergency teams were dispatched to 28 scenes, where they treated casualties, assessed damage to homes and vehicles, and conducted searches for additional victims.

Magen David Adom said teams also scanned seven additional sites where no casualties were found.

Separate incidents were reported during the ongoing alerts. A woman in her 50s was injured after falling into a roughly 4-meter-deep ditch while attempting to reach shelter during a siren along a highway between Herzliya and Tel Aviv.

She was taken to Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva in moderate condition with injuries to her lower limbs.

Elad Klein, commander of Magen David Adom’s Dan region, told Ynet at one of the impacted sites that following safety instructions helps prevent casualties, noting that those inside protected spaces were not harmed.

He added that, beyond the damaged areas, there were no reports of people trapped or additional casualties and that teams thoroughly searched the buildings and carried out all necessary operations.

Alerts were also activated in northern Israel after several drones entered from Lebanon. No strikes were reported, and the incident was later declared over.

Additional alerts sounded in and near Eilat, where officials said a drone launched from Yemen was intercepted without causing injuries or damage.
