Iran running out of missile launchers – Trump

President Donald Trump says Iran’s capacity to launch missiles is being rapidly degraded, echoing reports from Israel that ballistic missile attacks are expected to drop off significantly.

Iran’s ability to carry out large-scale missile attacks is rapidly declining, President Donald Trump said, claiming that the regime is quickly running out of missile launchers.

On Tuesday, Trump spoke with Politico in a four-minute phone call, telling the news site that Iran’s capacity to carry out massive missile barrages is diminishing, though the regime will likely be able to sustain a limited level of periodic attacks for the foreseeable future.

“They’re running out and they’re running out of areas to shoot them, because they’re being decimated,” Trump said. “They’re running out of launchers.”

Trump’s claims echo reports from Israel that the IDF estimates that by the end of the week, Iran’s ability to launch large volleys of missiles will be significantly reduced, with the IDF and US able to neutralize most launch attempts.

Despite the losses, however, Trump said that by using its remaining launcher systems, Iran can “keep lobbing missiles for a while,” albeit on a vastly smaller scale than before.

In contrast, Trump said that the US is able to maintain the current level of military pressure on Iran indefinitely.

“We have unlimited middle- and upper-middle ammunition and things. We save it and we build it.”

“The defense companies are on a rapid tear to build the various things we need,” Trump continued. “They’re under emergency orders. We’re making it fast. But we have unlimited – as stupid as Biden was, he didn’t use it.”

Trump made similar claims in a post to his Truth Social account on Monday night, writing that the US has a “virtually unlimited supply” of key munitions.

“Wars can be fought ‘forever,’ and very successfully, using just these supplies (which are better than other countries’ finest arms!). At the highest end, we have a good supply, but are not where we want to be. Much additional high grade weaponry is stored for us in outlying countries.”
