ISIS Again Calls on Muslims to Attack Western Targets

ISIS continues to openly call on its members living in the West to commit acts of terror in those countries.

A spokesman for the Islamic State (ISIS) terror organization is again calling on Muslims living in Western countries to carry out attacks, saying that any supporter of ISIS who has the opportunity to “shed a drop of blood” should do so, the Military Times reports.

Mohammed al-Adnani, in an audio recording released Monday, lauded the recent attacks by Muslim terrorists in Australia, Belgium and France.

He also praised the terrorist who shot and killed a soldier in October at Canada’s national war memorial and then stormed the parliament building before being killed by security forces.

Security agencies in the West are worried by the threat posed by Western fighters who joined ISIS and return home to establish terror networks in their respective countries.

In January, Andrew Parker, chief of British MI5 intelligence service, warned that an attack in the United Kingdom was “highly likely,” adding that it may be impossible to thwart it.

ISIS has repeatedly threatened the West at large with terror and destruction, vowing to conquer Rome, “break your crosses, and enslave your women, by the permission of Allah, the Exalted.”

In late September, al-Adnani called on Muslims in the US and Europe to attack members of the military: “Do not ask for anyone’s advice and do not seek anyone’s verdict. Kill the disbeliever, whether he is civilian or military, for they have the same ruling. Both of them are disbelievers. Both of them are considered to be waging war.”

ISIS is Growing Stronger

The US recently declared that its campaign against ISIS has been successful thus far in weakening the terror group, although analysis published by the Washington Post suggests otherwise, stating that ISIS is in fact growing stronger.

Attacking the US administration’s plans regarding Syria, Obama still speaks of fostering a Syrian rebel force that could fight ISIS, but the initiative is “pathetically under-resourced and moving at a snail’s pace,” the Post asserts. “Similarly, a CIA program to help rebel groups has been so limited that many fighters have defected to more militant Sunni groups, including al-Qaeda and the Islamic State.”

“Behind this feckless effort is a cluster of mistaken notions,” the Post asserts. Not wishing to attack the ISIS threat head on, and motivated by a long list of misconceptions, “Mr. Obama’s passivity and false hopes are contributing to the steady worsening of the humanitarian and strategic situation in Syria, and the postponement of steps required for an acceptable outcome” the Post concludes.

Obama’s military strategy has repeatedly been disparaged as flawed, weak and doomed to fail. Critics of Obama’s policies have suggested alternative courses of action, which the US president has not acknowledged.
