Israel labels five Hamas-linked media platforms as terror organizations

The platforms operated across multiple digital channels, including websites and social media networks.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz designated five media platforms operated by Hamas as terrorist organizations on Tuesday.

The move was based on intelligence gathered by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), which found that the platforms were managed by Hamas operatives and operated under directives from the group’s leadership in the Gaza Strip, Turkey, and other locations.

“The platforms operated with the aim of agitating the Israeli Arab population and the Palestinians in Judea and Samaria and inciting them to encourage riots and nationalist actions in protest of significant issues on the agenda,” the Shin Bet said.

The designation targets the platforms “Quds Plus,” “Meydan al-Quds,” “Al-Quds al-Buzala,” “Al-Ma’rag,” and “Al-A’atsma.”

The platforms operated across multiple digital channels, including websites and social media networks such as Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Telegram.

Under Israeli law, the activities of these organizations — and anyone acting on their behalf — are now prohibited. Security agencies said they will take action to disrupt their operations and prosecute those involved.
