Israel receives two more deceased hostages from Hamas

Israel has received the bodies of two fallen hostages, transferred through the International Committee of the Red Cross and escorted by IDF and Shin Bet (ISA) forces.

The IDF released a statement: “Two coffins of deceased hostages, escorted by IDF and ISA forces, crossed the border into the State of Israel a short while ago and are on their way to the National Institute for Forensic Medicine, where identification procedures will be carried out. IDF representatives are accompanying the families. The IDF urges the public to act with sensitivity and wait for official identification, which will first be communicated to the families of the deceased hostages.”

The Prime Minister’s Office also confirmed the transfer, saying: “Security forces have received from the Red Cross the coffins of two fallen hostages within the Gaza Strip, and they are making their way to Israel. In Israel, the fallen will be received in a military ceremony with the Chief Military Rabbi and will then be transferred to the National Center for Forensic Medicine. At the conclusion of the identification process, an official notice will be delivered to the families.”

All families of the hostages have been informed of the developments. “Our hearts are with them in this difficult hour,” the statement said. “The effort to return our hostages continues without pause and will not stop until the last hostage is safely returned.”

The IDF and Prime Minister’s Office emphasized that the public should respect the privacy of the families during this sensitive time and refrain from spreading rumors or unverified information.

This solemn step underscores Israel’s ongoing commitment to recovering every hostage, maintaining transparency with the families, and ensuring that the process is handled with the utmost care and dignity.

Under the terms of the deal, Hamas is obligated to uphold the agreement and immediately take all necessary steps to return every hostage, both dead and alive.
