Captain Edelman summed it up in one line: “Passports stolen… and the boys headed right back to training.”

Israel’s first-ever Olympic bobsled team took a hit off the ice after pilot AJ Edelman said the team’s apartment in the Cortina d’Ampezzo area was robbed, with passports and “thousands of dollars” worth of equipment and personal items taken.
Italian police opened an investigation as the squad kept training, Edelman said.
He said he wasn’t at the robbery site, while coach Itamar Shprinz was there—though it’s unclear if he witnessed anything directly.
Edelman summed it up in one line: “Passports stolen… and the boys headed right back to training.”
The message: shake it off, keep moving—Israeli-style.
The timing is brutal: Israel is entering Olympic bobsled for the first time after accepting a late-opened spot, and Edelman is slated to drive both the two-man and four-man sleds—part of the team’s “Shul Runnings” push to put Israel on the Winter Games map.
