Israeli forces arrest Palestinian woman who planned attack

Israeli security forces thwarted another Palestinian terror attack when they arrested a woman who admitted she had planned to use knives to kill or injure Israelis.

Israeli security forces on Sunday arrested a Palestinian woman who planned to commit a terror attack in Jerusalem.

Acting on accurate intelligence, the forces arrested the resident of the Old City of Jerusalem who stated she wished to carry out an attack.

The forces searched her home and found two knives placed near a Koran book.

The suspect, 36, was arrested and will be remanded later in the day.

The year-long wave of Palestinian violence has been marked by an increased female role.

In related news, IDF forces conducted counter-terrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria and arrested five Palestinians wanted in connection with terrorism, one of them a member of the Hamas terror organization.
