Dozens of mothers from Jewish communities in Samaria marched through the streets of Tel Aviv Tuesday, demanding the government enhance security in Judea and Samaria. Other women from across the country joined the march. Among those participating in the march were bereaved families who lost loved ones in terror attacks.

The march was initiated by the Samaria Regional Council and friends of Yael Shevach, whose husband Rabbi Raziel Shevach, was murdered in a drive by shooting terror attack in Samaria last week as he was returning to his home at the Gilad Farm.

Ever since the attack, the army and security forces have beefed up their presence in the region, and continue searching for the terrorists who perpetrated the attack. At present security officials said the investigation is focused on gathering intelligence. In the past week a closure was imposed on the Shechem (Nablus) area with troops conducting searches and inspecting Palestinian vehicles using the roads.

At today’s march, Hadass Mizrahi, the widow of Baruch Mizrahi who was gunned down by terrorists in a shooting attack outside Hebron in 2014, told Arutz Sheva that it was painful that mothers and young children were forced to march to seek security.

“I want to send a message to every mother in the State of Israel, we must seek security in every part of the country,” said Mizrahi.
