IDF Chief of General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir convened senior commanders to conclude formal investigations into the failures of October 7th, prioritizing the implementation of key operational lessons.
Speaking to commanders ranked Brigadier General and above at Glilot base, LTG Zamir highlighted expanding Israel’s security margin and strategic depth across all fronts.
He designated readiness for potential surprise wars as the primary reference scenario, incorporating preemptive action against emerging threats as the military’s operational compass.
As part of the conference, the October 7th investigations were concluded, and the key lessons that emerged from them were presented.
