Israir obtains FAA go-ahead for flights to the US

The FAA authorization represented the final and decisive stage of the regulatory process.

By United with Israel

Israir has received approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration to operate scheduled commercial flights to the United States, clearing a key regulatory hurdle for the Israeli airline’s expansion into North America.

The company received the FAA approval over the weekend after completing the required regulatory process with aviation authorities in both Israel and the United States.

Israir described the approval as a major strategic milestone that will allow it to expand its network into the North American market and increase competition on routes between Israel and the United States.

“The receipt of FAA approval is a historic moment for Israir and major consumer news for the Israeli public,” the airline said.

“It represents an expression of international confidence by the American aviation authority in the company’s quality, safety and operational reliability.”

“We are excited to expand our network of destinations to North America, increase competition in the market and provide our customers with quality service at competitive prices,” the company added.

According to Israir, the FAA authorization represented the final and decisive stage of the regulatory process, with the airline now having completed the necessary requirements and permits to operate routes to North America.

The move will add another Israeli carrier to the U.S. market alongside El Al and Arkia, expanding options for passengers traveling between Israel and the United States.
