A 70-year-old Jewish woman protesting rising anti-Semitism in Britain’s Labour Party was attacked  while protesting a pro-Palestinian Labour party meeting in London on Tuesday night.

According to witnesses she was kicked in the face by two young females after she told them she was Jewish. They also stole her phone according to reports.

Police treated the woman at the scene. Her condition was described as moderate.

“Earlier tonight a Jewish woman was beaten at an @PSCupdates event. No-one from the crowd intervened,” tweeted Euan Philips, a spokesperson for Labour Against Anti-Semitism.

One of the protesters against the Labour event, Cliff Dixon, tweeted, “When myself and some others tried to stop the second girl attacking her, we were shoved away by security including a particularly vile man in a grey sweatshirt who accused me of being far right and said he would ‘deal with me’ later as he knows who I am.”

Labour Party anti-Semitism has become a growing problem since Jeremy Corbyn took the party leadership in 2015. Corbyn came under fire this summer when pictures emerged of him laying a commemorative wreath at a memorial for Black September terrorists in Tunisia in 2014. The terror group was behind the Munich Massacre, in which Israeli Olympians were killed in 1972.

In late August, former U.K. Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks called Corbyn a dangerous anti-Semite who gives “support to racists, terrorists and dealers of hate, who want to kill Jews and remove Israel from the map.”
