Man shot dead while sitting in car

Israeli police officials are investigating a criminal incident in Nazareth in which a man was shot dead while sitting in his car.

An Israel-Arab man was shot dead Monday night in the city of Nazareth while sitting in his car, in a crime related incident.

The victim, Amar Jamal Nafafa, 38, was shot in his upper body and critically wounded while sitting in a van.

He was taken to the Italian Hospital in the city, where he died of his wounds.

Eyewitnesses say he managed to exit the car after being shot. By the time medics arrived at the scene he had lost consciousness and was without a pulse.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
