Israeli security forces are searching for a suspect who shot two Israelis in what now appears to have been a terror attack.
Israeli security forces have launched a massive manhunt in Haifa for a suspected terrorist who shot two Israelis on Tuesday in what was initially believed to have been a crime-related incident.
The suspect shot and murdered Guy Cafri, 45, and moderately wounded Yechiel Ilouz in separate incidents.
Security forces launched the manhunt on Wednesday, citing significant progress in the search. They reportedly identified the terrorist, although a gag order has been placed on the publication of the suspect’s name and photo.
Police initially believed that the shootings were crime-related, primarily because Ilouz serves as a judge on the religious court in the northern town on Migdal Ha’Emek, which could have made him a target.
