Two rockets were launched at Israel from Syria on Tuesday evening, shortly after a massive barrage was fired at Tel Aviv, wounding five people.
Those fired from Syria fell in open fields, and there were no injuries. Israel responded by striking the source of rocket fire from the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, the IDF said.
The rocket barrage in Tel Aviv, which triggered sirens across all of central Israel, sent more than a million Israelis to the shelters and wounded five people in Holon, Tel Aviv, Kfar Saba, Be’er Yaakov, and Yavne.
Also on Tuesday evening, a group of terrorists from Gaza was neutralized as they tried to enter Israel via the Zikim Beach, after navy commandos spotted them entering the sea from a tunnel, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said. Local residents have been advised to secure their homes while security personnel scout the area for any more potential infiltrators.
