Early Tuesday morning, air raid sirens sounded across multiple communities in the Jordan Valley and Samaria, following the launch of a missile from Yemen, believed to have been fired by Houthi forces.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) later confirmed the missile was successfully intercepted. No injuries or damage were reported, according to Magen David Adom (MDA).

Sirens were activated around 5:00 AM in dozens of towns including Argaman, Beka’ot, Gittit, Hamra, Masua, and Ro’i in the Jordan Valley, as well as Ariel, Itamar, Elon Moreh, Yitzhar, Shavei Shomron, and Kedumim in Samaria.

This launch comes amid a series of recent missile attacks from Yemen. On Sunday morning, a missile triggered alerts in Jerusalem, the Negev, and the Judean Desert. That projectile was also intercepted mid-air.

In response to the sirens and ongoing tension with international airlines, Ben Gurion Airport temporarily suspended landings, while some aircraft were held in holding patterns.

MDA confirmed that no casualties were reported during any of the incidents.

Meanwhile, Houthi-aligned media in Yemen published celebratory reports, boasting of a “Yemeni hat trick on Lod Airport in 25 hours.”

They claimed efforts are underway to expand their operational capabilities and intensify support for Gaza, with future attacks aimed at Ben Gurion Airport and Haifa Port.
