More Jewish community centers in US receive bomb threats

Three more Jewish community centers in the US receive bomb threats.

Jewish Community Centers (JCC) in the US were hit with another round of bomb threats on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

JCCs in St. Louis, Atlanta, and Boulder, Colorado received threats. The threats in St. Louis and Boulder came via email.

All three JCCs have already received bomb threats this year.

None of the threats were credible, as was the case in all previous bomb threats.

“We must not let this threat deter us from the responsibility we have to be the safe, welcoming, inclusive, and diverse communal town square for the 55,000 people who walk through our doors each year,” Atalanta JCC CEO Jared Powers said in a letter.

The last wave of bomb threats occurred on Sunday during the Purim holiday.

Since January, 164 bomb threats have targeted Jewish institutions in 36 US states, including JCCs, schools, synagogues and Anti-Defamation League (ADL) offices in New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, Boston and Washington, DC.

Similarly, Jewish cemeteries in Philadelphia , New York, and St. Louis were vandalized and desecrated.
