“We consider having a foolish president at the White House as good news to the vulnerable people across the world,” said Nasrallah.

Hezbollah’s Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah said on Sunday that the terror group was not afraid of the “foolish” president Donald Trump.

Speaking during a Hezbollah ceremony to commemorate late Hezbollah official Sheikh Hussein Obeid, one of its founders, Nasrallah began by lashing out at former president Barack Obama, saying he was “hypocritical” because his administration created the Islamic State (ISIS) to “distort the image of Islam,” supported Saudi Arabia’s campaign in Yemen, and “backed the oppressive regime” in Bahrain.

Nasrallah was relating to several campaigns in the Middle East in which Sunnis were battling the Shi’ites. Hezbollah sides with the Shi’ites and Iran.

“Trump has not come up with anything new. He just revealed the real face of the racist, oppressive and ugly US administration,” Nasrallah added. “We have to thank him for this.”

Nasrallah was echoing similar statements made by his Iranian Patron, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, last Tuesday.

Trump says fear me! No,” declared Khamenei during an address to commanders and officials from Iran’s Army Air Forces.

“We actually thank this new president because he made it easier for us to reveal the real face of the United States,” he continued. “Now, with everything he is doing—handcuffing a child as young as 5 at an airport—he is showing the reality of American human rights,” he said, relating to Trump’s 90-day entry ban on nationals from seven Muslim countries.

Trump has vowed to adopt a stronger stance against Iran, a move influencing Iran’s proxy, Hezbollah.

Commenting on some media reports which mentioned that Hezbollah is worried and afraid of the advent 0f Trump, Nasrallah stated that the “Resistance [Hezbollah] defeated the Zionist and NATO enemy in 1982 despite its weaknesses,” and added that Hezbollah has emerged victorious in all subsequent military clashes with the “the Zio-American foes.”

Nasrallah asserted that the religious beliefs held by Hezbollah make victory inevitable, adding that “neither Trump nor his ancestors can mess with our faith.”

“We consider having a foolish president at the White House as good news to the vulnerable people across the world,” he underlined.
