Netanyahu manipulated Trump into Iran war, claims Kamala Harris

Former vice president claims Operation Epic Fury was launched as a distraction from the Epstein files, slams Trump administration.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of manipulating President Donald Trump into a war with Iran, while also promoting a conspiracy theory that the conflict was intended to distract the American public from the so-called “Epstein files.”

“Let us be clear: Donald Trump entered a war, got pulled into it by Bibi Netanyahu,” Harris, using the Israeli premier’s nickname, said on Saturday at a Democratic women’s event in Detroit, Michigan.

She further argued that Trump “entered a war that the American people do not want, putting at risk American service members in a feeble attempt to distract from the Epstein files and his domestic failures.”

Harris slammed the administration, calling it “the most corrupt, callous, and incompetent in U.S. history,” and claimed the conflict had strained relations between Washington and its European allies in NATO.

Her remarks come as the recently released Epstein files — millions of pages of emails and photographs compiled by the FBI, some of them redacted, related to the disgraced sex offender financier Jeffrey Epstein — have drawn attention across the political spectrum. Notably, figures from both major parties, including former Democratic President Bill Clinton, have been mentioned in connection with the materials.

Harris delivered her comments in Michigan, the state with the largest Arab and Muslim populations in the United States. In the 2024 election, voter dissatisfaction over U.S. support for Israel’s military campaign against Hamas negatively affected Harris’ presidential campaign.

Her accusations echoed rhetoric from prominent anti-Israel commentators, including Tucker Carlson, who have suggested that Trump may have been influenced or pressured by the Israeli government into launching Operation Epic Fury.

Earlier this month, Carlson claimed in a newsletter that “the Israeli government has a storied history of blackmailing U.S. presidents,” though he did not provide evidence for that allegation. He also claimed that Trump faces “a level of pressure that most people cannot fathom” from Israeli leadership.
