Dozens of people, mostly children, were killed in Syria when Islamic State terrorists targeted several neighborhoods and schools.
At least nine young girls were killed and around 20 wounded in northeastern Syria on Tuesday by mortar shells fired at at a school by Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.
Syrian TV said that the projectile that hit the Harabesh elementary school for girls in a government-held part of the city of Deir el-Zour was fired by “terrorists” — the term the government uses for all armed groups fighting against President Bashar Assad’s forces. Reports indicate that several parts of the school were hit by multiple artillery shells.
Also on Tuesday, ISIS terrorists bombed neighborhoods around the city of Aleppo, killing another six civilians, as well as shelling towns around the countryside of Hama and outside Damascus. More than 40 people, including children were wounded, some critically.
