Obama’s brother, Trump’s debate guest, appears to be a Hamas supporter

According to media reports, Republican nominee Donald Trump has invited Malik Obama, President Obama’s estranged half-brother, seen wearing a Hamas scarf in a 2010 photo, to tonight’s presidential debate.

The New York Post has reported that Malik Obama, a Kenyan-born US citizen residing in Washington, D.C., will be a guest of Donald Trump at the final presidential debate taking place tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“I’m excited to be at the debate. Trump can make America great again,” Malik Obama told the Post.

“I look very much forward to meeting and being with Malik,” Trump said. “He gets it far better than his brother.”

Malik blames Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton for creating the volatile situation in Libya during her tenure as secretary of state.

From a photo posted on Twitter, Malik Obama appears to be a Hamas sympathizer. The photo, taken at a 2010 conference in Yemen, shows him wearing a keffiyeh (traditional Arab scarf) with the Hamas slogans, “Jerusalem is ours – we are coming,” and “From the river to the sea.”

It is not known whether or not the Trump campaign is aware of the photo or of Malik Obama’s political views. Trump has voiced strong support for Israel and for recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish state.

Another guest Trump is expected to bring is Patricia Smith, mother of murdered Benghazi victim Sean Smith, who accused Clinton of “murdering” her son.

Trump’s guests are reportedly in response to Clinton’s invitation to two prominent billionaires who have been supporting her campaign – Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman and Mark  Cuban, owner of Dallas Mavericks.
