Orthodox Jewish tourists assaulted at Milan’s central station

The injured tourist was rushed to the hospital, treated for minor wounds, and later discharged.

In yet another disgraceful assault fueled by the global wave of Jew-hatred unleashed since the October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist massacre, a group of visibly Orthodox American tourists was brutally attacked Monday at Milan’s bustling Central Station by a 25-year-old unemployed Pakistani man who charged at them screaming “Dirty Jews” and “Allahu akbar.”

The victims, identifiable by their traditional attire, had paused beneath the main departure board to check train times when the attacker lunged without provocation, landing multiple blows, including a vicious strike to one man’s head with a metal ring.

Bystanders screamed for help as brave travelers restrained the assailant until Railway Police arrived and placed him in handcuffs.

Even in custody, the man continued hurling the same antisemitic slurs and Islamist slogans.

Judge Sofia Fioretta green-lit an expedited trial, citing the “seriousness of the conduct, its brutality, and the total absence of remorse.”

The Combat Antisemitism Movement condemned the assault in searing terms: “Hatred of Jews expressed through collective blame for Israel’s actions and the repackaging of ancient lies in modern form. That claim is a malicious distortion that turns a centuries-old antisemitic myth into a modern weapon of hate. Governments and civil society must confront this hatred with moral clarity.”

Italy has seen a torrent of antisemitic incidents since Hamas terrorists slaughtered 1,200 Israelis and kidnapped 251 others.

In Genoa, a rabbi was stalked by a screwdriver-wielding thug; a northern Italian hotel brazenly refused an Israeli couple, claiming Israelis were “responsible for genocide”; and a synagogue was defaced with red paint screaming “Justice for Free Gaza.”

Milan itself has witnessed Jewish-owned shops vandalized and Jewish students harassed on campuses.

With antisemitic crimes in Italy spiking over 300% in the past two years, Jewish tourists, once welcomed as part of Europe’s cultural tapestry, are now forced to hide kippahs and avoid public prayer for fear of becoming targets.

This latest blood-soaked attack by a pro-terrorist foreigner in the heart of one of Europe’s busiest stations lays bare the continent’s shameful failure to protect its Jewish citizens and visitors from imported hatred dressed up as political activism.
