A Palestinian terrorist stabbed and critically wounded an Israeli at the shopping center at the Gush Etzion Junction on Sunday. The victim succumbed to his wounds several hours later.
The victim, in his 40s, was taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem in critical condition, with stab wounds to his upper body.
The terrorist, 17 years old from the Palestinian village of Yatta in the Hebron area, was shot and neutralized and then taken into custody.
Before he collapsed, the victim and another civilian shot and neutralized the attacker.
The Gush Etzion Junction has been the site of multiple terror attacks in recent years. The shopping area in which the attack occurred is shared by Israelis and Palestinians.
