Palestinian terrorist stabs father and son after dentist appointment

An Israeli teen was severely injured by a Palestinian terrorist who stabbed him and his father after asking if they were Jews.

On Saturday, following a dentist appointment in the Arab town of Azun in Samaria, Yosef Perez, 60, and his son, Liber, 17, were stabbed multiple times in a terror attack mounted by a Palestinian assailant.

In the attack, Liber Perez was stabbed in the upper body, sustaining series injuries, while his father was wounded on the arm.

The Perez family members were reportedly confronted by a Palestinian male who asked if they were Jews before he began stabbing the father and son, reported Times of Israel. The boy’s uncle was also present, but was not injured.

“My son was afraid for me, he pushed me aside and he quickly jumped on [the attacker] with his head down. [The attacker] took advantage of the position and began stabbing him in his back,” Perez explained according the Times.

The Palestinian dentist reportedly “jumped” on the attacker and subdued him until the attack victims could escape.

The Perez family, whom it appears speaks Arabic, had been coming to this dentist for a year prior to the attack and said they did not expect an incident such as this.

According to Palestinian media reports cited by the Times, the father of the attacker was arrested on Saturday by Israeli security forces, with certain outlets reporting that the attacker surrendered to Palestinian authorities.

Yosef and Liber Perez were taken by IDF medics to a border crossing and eventually received treatment in Kfar Saba.
