Parents of a Palestinian teen on his way to commit a stabbing attack against Jews turned him in to the IDF.
Israeli forces on Monday arrested a Palestinian about to commit a terror attack, acting on a tip given to them by the parents of the would-be terrorist .
The suspect, 15, exited his home in the Shechem (Nablus) area, leaving behind a will and his cellphone.
The family became aware of his intentions and alerted security forces, who located him in the vicinity of an IDF base in the area. The soldiers found a large knife hidden on his body.
There have been previous instances of families of potential terrorists who have turned in their relative, fearing the consequences of the would-be-terrorist’s actions, such as the demolition of their home by the IDF.
In related news, IDF forces carrying out counter-terrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria on Sunday night arrested 17 Palestinians wanted for terrorism, including eight members of the Hamas terror group.
