Paramount+ releases first trailer of Oct. 7-based mini-series

‘Red Alert,’ mainly in Hebrew, focuses on ordinary people facing life-or-death situations, from the terrorist slaughter at the Supernova music festival to a family’s last stand inside their home.

The first trailer for “Red Alert,” a four-part series depicting the harrowing events during the Hamas-led invasion and massacre in southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, was released on Thursday.

The mini-series, in Hebrew Or Rishon (“First Light”), will premiere globally on Oct. 7, 2025, on the second anniversary of the atrocities that led to Israel’s almost two-year war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

It will air in the United States on Paramount+ and in Israel on Channel 12.

Another limited series portraying the events of Oct. 7, 2023, will air the same day on HBO Max.

Titled “One Day in October,” the series was shot in Israel and chronicles “seven emotionally gripping and artistically interwoven narratives of love, courage, sacrifice and survival,” The Hollywood Reporter cited the project’s producers as saying.

The seven-part series was co-produced by Fox Entertainment Studios with New York-based production company Sparks Go and Israel’s Yes TV and ZOA Films.

Its Israeli title is Shahar Adom (“Red Dawn”).

Among the select number of characters are a mother fleeing with her daughters after her son was kidnapped, a wounded Border Police officer and her colleague, and a Bedouin father hiding with his infant son behind enemy lines.

“Red Alert” was produced by Israeli company the Keshet Media Group and top-Hollywood producer Lawrence Bender (“Pulp Fiction,” “Inglourious Basterds”), and was filmed in Israel with an Israeli cast.

The series is based on real events, with some names changed and some scenes imaginary, according to Paramount+.
