Pro-Israel activists came together against an anti-Israel conference at UCLA and ensured their voice was heard.

A group of pro-Israel activists and students faced off with anti-Israel Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) on UCLA’s campus last month, in what Israeli daily Haaretz described as the “largest ever pro-Palestinian student conference held at UCLA.”
SJP held its annual national conference at UCLA under the title “Radical Hope: Resistance in the Face of Adversity,” from Nov. 16 to 18. Students Supporting Israel (SSI), Reservists on Duty (RoD), and other pro-Israel groups joined together in Los Angeles to protest the weekend conference.
“From the moment the SJP conference began, they were not given a moment’s quiet,” said Amit Deri of Reservists on Duty, Front Page Magazine reported.
He said that this was the first time that so many pro-Israeli organizations collaborated and were able to raise an effective demonstration at the SJP’s annual conference.
Israel haters on defense
“SJP were afraid to get their heads out of the hall where the demonstration took place,” he said. “If we will be strong enough on every campus, SJP will not dare to be violent against Jewish students!”
Two SSI members infiltrated the SJP conference and walked onto the main stage with one holding a sign reading “Jews are indigenous to Judea” and the other holding an Israeli flag.
The SJP supporters chanted “Long live the intifada,” a call to violence against Israel, as the two activists were taken out by security.
“These guys scream ‘intifada’ over here, and that’s the murder of Jews,” said SSI leader Ilan Sinelnikov, one of those who succeeded in penetrating the anti-Israel conference.
“They only talk about Palestinian suffering in order to use their suffering to attack Israel,” Rudy Rochman, the second pro-Israel activist, said. “We’ve seen that throughout history, trying to make the Jews the source of evil, Jews the source of the problems, whether it’s the black plague, the problems in the Inquisition, the problems in the Holocaust and the pogroms.”
Hamas front group
SJP has long been exposed as a front for the Hamas terrorist organization, as a propagator of anti-Semitism and of the anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement.
SJP activists on campuses across the U.S. claim they are fighting for Palestinian human rights and peace, but their anti-Semitism includes Holocaust denial, calling for the murder of Jews and support for Palestinian terrorism.
Professor Hatem Bazian, a co-founder of SJP, who teaches at San Francisco State University, has been exposed as a virulent anti-Semite as well as an anti-Israel activist.
