Report: Iran preparing to hit US military bases if American forces strike

Iran reportedly poised to launch missiles at American military positions across the Middle East, should President Trump bring the US into the war against Iran.

The Iranian military is gearing up for a possible military confrontation with the United States, U.S. officials warn, amid growing speculation President Donald Trump is poised to bring the U.S. into the ongoing war with Iran.

On Tuesday, The New York Times cited multiple U.S. officials who had reviewed intelligence reports who said that should American forces join Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Houthi terrorists in Yemen and Iranian-backed militias in Iraq and Syria would almost certainly respond by attacking American assets.

Those assets include American military installations in the Middle East, as well as ships sailing through the Red Sea, where Houthi forces have attacked vessels in the past.

Iran may also mine the Strait of Hormuz, pinning American warships in the Persian Gulf.

The 40,000 American troops currently deployed in the region have been placed on high alert, with officials cited by the report noting that Iranian missiles are within range of U.S. bases across the Middle East, including Jordan and Saudi Arabia, and located near bases in Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

President Trump met for over an hour with the National Security Council on Tuesday, after he hinted at possible American entry into the war.

“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding,” Trump wrote of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on his Truth Social account on Tuesday.

“He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
