The remains of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was killed earlier this month at his country’s consulate in Istanbul, were found, and his face was “disfigured,” Sky News reported.
According to one source, the report said, his remains were found in the garden of the Saudi consul general’s home.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who insists that the murder was plotted days in advance – contrary to the Saudis’ claim that Khashoggi was accidentally killed – has demanded that Saudi officials reveal the location of the journalist’s remains.
“Why has the body of someone who was officially said to be killed not been found yet?” Erdogan declared.
If confirmed, this discovery will provide evidence in contradiction to the Saudi version of events.
