Report: Palestinians admit Trump blasted Abbas for incitement

Palestinian sources reportedly conceded that Trump blasted Abbas for his incitement to terror, notwithstanding PA claims to the contrary.

Recent reports cite Palestinian sources as acknowledging that US President Donald Trump expressed fury during his meeting with Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas in Bethlehem last week, accusing him of lying and of inciting violence against Israelis.

Israel’s Channel 2 TV reported earlier this week that Trump was enraged with Abbas. “You lied to me in Washington when you talked about commitment to peace, but the Israelis showed me you were personally responsible for incitement,” Trump reportedly told the PA leader.

When the two leaders met in Washington early May, Abbas claimed that Palestinian youth were raised in a “culture of peace.”

Palestinian sources, commenting on the report, had insisted that the meeting was calm.

According to Newsweek magazine, however, “In a meeting this week of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) executive committee, Abbas told members that the meeting a week before was ‘uncomfortable,’ Palestinian sources told the Qatari-owned, London-based news outlet Al-Araby.
