Report: Russia aiding Iran’s missile and drone attacks

Iran admits Russia is “helping” the regime in “many different” ways amid reports that Moscow is feeding intelligence information to Tehran to help direct Iranian missile and drone attacks.

Iran acknowledged over the weekend that it is receiving assistance from Russia during its conflict with the United States and Israel, amid reports that Moscow has been feeding the Islamic Republic with intelligence information enabling it to carry out more accurate missile and drone strikes.

On Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told NBC News that Russia has been aiding Iran, without providing details.

“Well, they are helping us in many different directions,” Araghchi said. “I don’t have any detailed information.”

Last week, multiple news outlets reported that the Russian government has been providing Iran with intelligence boosting the Islamic Republic’s attacks on targets in the Middle East, including American military bases.

Seven American service members have been killed in Iranian missile and drone strikes on US facilities across the Middle East since Operation Epic Fury began on February 28.

The information provided by Russia, which includes satellite imagery of American positions, could potentially enable Iran to strike American naval vessels and US aircraft.

On Friday, President Donald Trump dismissed the issue, calling questions regarding Russia’s alleged assistance to Iran “stupid.”

“That’s an easy problem compared to what we’re doing here,” Trump said. “What a stupid question that is to be asking at this time.”

The president said that the US strikes on Iran are going “very well,” rating the US operation as a “12” or “15” out of 10.

“Somebody said, how would you score it from zero to 10? I said, I’d give it a 12 to a 15. Their army is gone.”

“Their navy is gone. Their communications are gone. Their leaders are gone. Two sets of their leaders are gone. They’re down to their third set. Their Air Force is wiped out entirely. Think of it,” he said.
