President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu reportedly agreed during their meeting in Florida to give Hamas a final 60 days to disarm, after which the IDF will be given a free hand to disarm Hamas by force.

The United States and Israel have agreed to give the Hamas terror organization 60 days to dispose of its arsenal and demilitarize or be disarmed by force, according to a report published by Israel Hayom Tuesday night.

The two-month deadline was reportedly set by President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during their closed-door meeting at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump and Netanyahu also reached an understanding during their meeting that in order to comply with the terms of the US-backed 20-point Gaza peace plan, Hamas’ terror tunnel network underneath the Gaza Strip must be completely demolished.

Should Hamas continue to refuse to surrender its weapons, the Israeli military will be given a free hand to disarm the terror group by force.

Some details regarding the terms of disarmament and demilitarization have yet to be decided, the report added, noting that there are teams from both the US and Israel working to draft a clear definition of demilitarization.

Israel has expressed concerns that Hamas may, if pressured, agree to disarm, while striving to retain most of its arsenal.

US officials who met with Prime Minister Netanyahu’s delegation are said to have emphasized that the administration will not permit Hamas to evade enforcement of the peace deal’s disarmament clause.

Following his meeting with Netanyahu on Monday, Trump told reporters that Hamas is “going to be given a very short period of time to disarm,” adding that there will be “hell to pay for them” if the terror group fails to comply.

“It would be horrible for them. Horrible. It’s going to be really, really bad for them.”
