Dozens of Israeli right-wing demonstrators marched through the Arab city of Umm al-Fahm in a procession spearheaded by members of  the Otzmah Yehudit party led by Michael Ben-Ari, Itamar Ben-Gvir and Benzi Gopstein.

The rally was secured by some 400 policemen, and ended without incident, despite fears of clashes with the local population. Some streets were shut down in the town as the demonstrated proceeded.

They called for the dismantling of the Al Farouk Mosque, the mosque from which the three terrorists who carried out the attack on the Temple Mount in July 2017 emerged.

Cousins Muhammad Ahmed Muhammad Jabarin, 29, Muhammad Hamad Abdel Latif Jabarin, 19, and Muhammad Ahmed Mafdal Jabarin, 19, all residents of the northern Arab town of Umm al-Fahm, shot and killed two Israeli Druze police officers, Master Sgt. Kamil Shnaan and Master Sgt. Haiel Sitawe.

“If you want to eliminate terror, you have to smash the terror beds in mosques that serve as fertile ground for incitement and rebellion against Israel,” said Ben Ari, Arutz 7 reported.

“Those who are loyal to Israel are welcome, but those who want to wipe out the state or hurt Druze policemen who represent Israel must be dealt a heavy hand,” Ben Gvir stated.
