More than two years after the deadly Hamas attack on Kibbutz Be’eri, Israeli authorities discovered weapons and communication devices belonging to the terrorists inside a local kindergarten on Wednesday.
Civilian restoration teams working in the kibbutz reported the items to police, prompting a swift response from bomb disposal units.
Upon inspection, officers identified loaded Kalashnikov rifles and walkie-talkies used by Hamas terrorists during the October 7 massacre.
“The weapons had remained hidden in the area since the battles, and our teams have now neutralized them in a controlled manner,” a police spokesperson said.

The remains of three of the last four bodies held in Gaza were from Be’eri: Meny Godard, 73; Dror Oz, 48; and 43-year-old Thai agricultural worker Sudthisak Rinthalak. The fourth, Master Sgt. Ran Gvili, was killed at the neighboring Kibbutz Alumim.
