IDF soldiers in southern Lebanon (IDF)
Israeli soldiers battling Hezbollah’s escalating drone campaign in southern Lebanon have reportedly turned to fishermen for help, requesting fishing nets to protect troops and military positions from explosive UAV attacks.
According to reports, forces on the ground have been desperately improvising defenses with fishing nets, soccer nets, and camouflage coverings as Hezbollah’s deadly drones continue striking IDF targets with increasing accuracy.
The revelations sparked outrage among current and former soldiers, especially after recent Hezbollah drone attacks killed and wounded multiple Israeli troops, including senior officers, exposing what critics describe as dangerous gaps in the army’s preparedness for the growing aerial threat.
For Israel, however, a return to the negotiating table represents the most problematic outcome.
