Stabbing in Jerusalem: incident criminal, not terror-related

Police confirmed that a stabbing incident outside a Jerusalem mall was criminal in nature and not a terror attack.

By: World Israel News Staff

An Israeli man was moderately wounded on Sunday in a stabbing incident in a Jerusalem mall.

Security guards present at the entrance to the mall shot and neutralized the assailant. Emergency medical services treated the victim, who was then transferred to a local hospital for treatment.

An initial investigation indicated it was a criminal incident and that the stabber was a known criminal, but terrorism had not yet been ruled out. Police now confirm the attack was indeed criminal.
