A man opened fire on Monday evening at a mosque in Zurich, Switzerland, injuring at least three people in what appears to be a terror attack. Police have launched a manhunt to pursue the suspect, who fled the scene.
“Large operation after shooting at mosque in the Eisgasse,” tweeted Zurich’s police department. “Several injured. Perpetrator on the run.”
The motive for the shooting as well as the severity of the injuries of the 3 people who were wounded remain unclear. Meanwhile, nine people were killed and at least 50 were injured at a Christmas market in Berlin in a truck-ramming terror attack.
