Terrorists fired a rocket at southern Israel from the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt on Tuesday morning, while President Donald Trump was visiting the country.
The projectile landed in an open space, causing no injuries or damage. No sirens were set off.
Residents in the area reported hearing an explosion.
Israeli forces launched a search to locate the projectile.
The last such incident occurred in April when two rockets landed in Israel after Islamic terrorists launched several rockets from Sinai at Israel, on the eve of Passover. The Islamic State (ISIS) terror group claimed responsibility for the attack.
