The Chief of Defense Staff of the British Army, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, arrived in Israel on Thursday as the guest of IDF Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot.
The British general is in Israel to discuss shared threats and future cooperation between the militaries.
The IDF stated that this visit illustrates the fortitude of the strategic ties shared between the two militaries and countries.
In September, NATO’s Allied Chiefs of Defense elected Peach as the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was in Israel in October, while the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces Marine Corps, Gen. Joseph Dunford, was last in Israel in May.
