Trump on Iran Quitting Nuclear Deal: ‘I Couldn’t Care Less’

President Donald Trump brushed off Iran’s decision to abandon its nuclear memorandum with the United States, declaring Saturday: “I couldn’t care less.” He reiterated that Washington’s priority remains preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and called the deaths of two US service members in Jordan “a very sad thing,” saying they died “in service of our country.”

Trump’s remarks came after Tehran declared his signature “worthless and invalid” and warned it would enter a more “offensive and destructive” phase if US attacks continue, threatening American forces across the region.

Hours later, US Central Command announced an eighth consecutive night of strikes on Iran, saying American forces hit air defense systems, missile and drone sites, maritime capabilities, and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets linked to the attack that killed the two US troops in Jordan. Iran later claimed it had launched strikes against US military targets in Kuwait.
