Trump says US, Israel know locations of some of the hostages, have ‘various plans’ to release them

Speaking to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, U.S. President Donald Trump indicated that the United States and Israel are aware of the locations of “some hostages” and are working on “various plans” to free them.

“We know where they have them in some cases,” Trump said. “You don’t want to go riding roughshod over that area because that means those hostages will be killed.”

Trump added that he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were in contact and discussing “various plans” to secure their release.

Recently, Israel recalled its envoys from Qatar as the latest round of hostage negotiations broke down.

U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff cited Hamas’ “unreasonable demands” for the breakdown in the recent talks and said the terror group was not acting in good faith.

Referring to the impasse in the talks, Trump said, “Hamas has become very difficult to deal with in the last couple of days because they don’t want to give up these last 20,” referring to the number of hostages believed to still be alive.

According to Trump, Hamas believes that “as long as they have them, they have protection.”

“But I don’t think it’s going to work that way,” he added, saying the hostages are in “deep trouble.”

The notion that Israel and the United States may know the location of some hostages is supported by reports that Hamas is making preparations for potential hostage rescue operations.

An Arab source reported that Hamas is working to conceal the hostages’ locations and details about their captivity.

The terrorist group is reportedly monitoring any activity it deems suspicious and is on the lookout for Gazans who may be collaborating with the United States or Israel.

Hamas has reinstated a policy — revoked during the temporary truce and hostage release in January — of murdering any hostages the IDF appears to be preparing to rescue.

The report was released Thursday, when U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff announced that Hamas showed “a lack of desire to reach a ceasefire.”
