Trump’s first executive order just hours after his inauguration as president was to ease regulations associated with Obamacare.
President Donald Trump signed his first executive order on Friday by giving federal agencies broad leeway to ease Obamacare regulations.
The White House has not provided details of the order. Press Secretary Sean Spicer, however, told reporters that the action was a step to “transition to repeal and replace” the Affordable Care Act.
Throughout the US election campaign, Trump had promised to reform his predecessor’s signature healthcare law, among other policy changes.
White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus will send out a memo ordering a government-wide “regulatory freeze until further notified.”
