‘Trump will kill you,’ senator warns Iran’s supreme leader amid crackdown on protests

Trump ally warns Iran’s supreme leader to take the president “seriously,” adding that Trump is prepared to eliminate the country’s top leaders if the regime continues to kill protesters.

A senior Republican senator and ally of President Donald Trump warned Iran’s leadership that the US is prepared to eliminate the republic’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, if the regime continues to kill protesters in a bid to put down the ongoing nationwide uprising.

On Tuesday, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham told Fox News that “change is coming to Iran,” and that Tehran should “take Trump seriously,” hinting that the Iranian regime could be the target of another targeted action, days after the Maduro government in Venezuela was deposed.

“To the ayatollahs: You need to understand—if you keep killing your people who are demanding a better life—Donald J. Trump is going to kill you,” Graham said.

The lawmaker stressed that the most dramatic shift “in the history of the Mideast to get rid of this Nazi regime” is approaching.

“To the people of Iran, help is on the way,” Graham continued. “We stand for you taking back your country from the ayatollah religious Nazi who kills you and terrorizes the world.”

In a post on his X account after the interview, Graham alluded to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, comparing possible American intervention in Iran to the operation culminating in the capture of Maduro and his wife.

“By now, the bad guys should believe that when President Trump says something, he means it,” Graham wrote.

“In my view, the ayatollah and his henchmen are at the top of the list of the bad guys. They are religious Nazis that terrorize their people. They are indiscriminately killing those who seek a better life and have been the largest state sponsor of terrorism on the planet for decades.”

“My advice is that if the Iranian regime leaders continue to indiscriminately kill people protesting bitter oppression, then maybe we should tell those leaders that they continue the killing at their own peril.”
